hi, im new to this site and i was wondering if ya'll could give me some advice. i have naturally curly hair but i have been fighting the curl my whole life. First by just blowdrying it straight then by using a flat iron. every once in a while i let it dry naturally but my curls are not neat defined curls. its like chaos all over my head. i have spiral curls on the underneath section and some spiral and some more like waves on top. and they are very frizzy. when i do try to use some sort of styling gel or mousse it leaves my hair very sticky and hard and i hate that. and it seems that the closer to the end i get the straighter it gets. i have like an inch or so that is straight. i would like to start embracing my curls more but i just dont know how to style it or what products to use. any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Not sure if you've read Curly Girl (CG) but this link gives great information about the method if you haven't.

There's a thread on the go with 18 questions related to product and application for CG that you might find helpful.
