Have any of you guys found a problem with this stuff? I'm about to order some Jessicurl products and I noticed mag on the ingredient list of pretty much all the products. My hair is on the dry side, even though I moisturize the heck out of it. Will this make it worse? Thanks for your help!

Well, for me the JC products were awful. Made my hair dry, strawlike, lifeless and tangly. BUT, so did most of the products you list in your signature...(Deva stuff).... So, I couldnt say.
For me its definetly the MagSulf, as I tested with other products containing it. I have a sample size bottle of RR, if you want me to send you some.

I don't know if dry hair alone causes a problem with mag sulfate. I think some people just can't handle using it all the time. Unfortunately, it's one of those things where you have to try it and see. I really liked the JC products initially though. I got great, consistent results and they smell so good. After a few weeks though, my hair seemed to get worse (strawlike, frizzy, crispy, limp) until I switched products.

Same thing for me. Some hair just can't handle magnesium sulfate, but I don't know if it's got anything to do with hair being dry in the first place (because if you think about it, most curly hair is dry hair).

How about ordering the sample size trial kit of the JC products and see how they work for you? While a lot of curlies here have problems with the magnesium sulfate, there are plenty who can use the JC products all the time and have no problems with it.

I'm on my second week of using CCSS:
www.curlmart.com/Jes...ils-styling-solution and....well, things aren't going so great. I don't really know what to think.

What are you experiencing, UTgal?

Jillypoo, I was experiencing weighed down & stringy curls.
**however**
Yesterday was my first Deva cut. She had heard of Jessicurl but had never tried it. I have lots of layers now and she explained how air drying was probably weighing down my hair. I'm going to keep using CCSS:
www.curlmart.com/Jes...ils-styling-solution until my Deva products arrive.
I'm not sure I can blame CCSS:
www.curlmart.com/Jes...ils-styling-solution for my problems. I'm sure my technique had lots to do with it.
Also, we figured I'm a C, not a 3a (see fotki).
