sleep paralysis

Curious to see if anyone else has experienced this. I have a few times, most recently being a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't move, but I could see. There seemed to be what looked like a really evil clown on the ceiling, and out of the corner of my eye was like some sort of whispery shadow type thing. It leaned over me and went into my face, and I felt a strong gust of wind go into my face, and after that I could move again. It shook me up for a bit.

I used to have it a lot...the last time I had it was about a year ago. It's very scary for me. I can see myself trying to move & hear myself screaming but it's not actually happening. The last one I had I was dreaming that I had fallen to my death. Before I actually died I woke up. It freaks me out. I've also had a person stand over me. It looked like a male figure in all black. I don't know why it happens.

don't know why we called it that....but it was spooky!

and I get chills just thinking about it

I just had my first 2 "episodes" this month and finally was able to put a name to what I experienced. It totally freaked me out. Although both times it happened to me I was falling asleep and then all of a sudden I couldn't move or speak. I tried to scream out to my husband or kick him but I couldn't. And it felt like a big black scary black cloudy man was sitting on my chest squeezing out all of my air.

Although I've not had it in a while, I've had a recurring dream that I was being chased and I would try to run, but I couldn't move. No matter how hard I tried to move, I couldn't. Apparently, I'm able to talk or scream, according to spouse. She says I have a different voice then.

I get this from time to time as well. What I really hate is when it happens while I'm on my stomach.
