Dream bout my deceased dad

My dad and I were always close, and I've had numerous dreams bout my dad over the last 2yrs. Most of them were about him checking up on us, in some cases he refused to accept he was no longer alive... Lastnight's dream upset me tho...

I was trying to get a hold of him via cellphone, for 3days it went straight to voicemail. (doesn't make sense coz in the dream I knew he was dead, but I had a special number for him) Anyway, the 4th day he finally answered, but it was clear he thought he was speaking to my mom by the endearing terms and pet names he used. So I say "daddy it's not mommy, it's me, I've been looking for you" then he replies, in a dissapointed tone "why whenever I try to reach your mother, you're at the other end of the line?" I burst out crying and ended the call. Woke up still crying...

Any thoughts?

Do you feel you wanted more attention from your dad than what you got? It sounds like you have disappointment of some kind to me.

I have had a lot of dreams of my deceased parents and husband. Some of them I really have to think about to find an answer to them, some I just don't get at all. I hope you are feeling better today.
